Abstract

I architect cloud systems, and for the past year I’ve been building agents that run on top of them. This is not a blog. It is evidence: real decisions from a production system I design, build, and operate alone, written up the way I would walk a client through an architecture review.

1.0The evidence

Entries are added when something substantial ships and the learnings are worth writing down. Every few months, not on a schedule.

  1. 01From idea to production with AI in the loopSixty-three days from the first business-plan commit to production messages on a real event: the stage map, and where judgment gated each transition.
  2. 02The rules are the leverageEncoding twenty years of judgment as rules that span UX, architecture, and the business itself, then orchestrating a fleet of agents that have to follow them.
  3. 03Context is infrastructureThe project wiki every agent session loads first: what goes in, the rules that keep it lean, and how writing to it became the default so nothing the build learns is ever forgotten.
  4. 04Every PR gets an adversaryA hundred-plus pull requests through an automated adversarial review gate: exit criteria, evidence-backed refutations, and the dashboard that watches the pipeline.
  5. 05An ops agent on shiftTelemetry, alerts, and threshold rules are the foundation; a reasoning agent on shift is the layer above. Build the floor before you hire the brain.
  6. 06AI in the product itself, without setting money on fireAI inside the product rather than behind it: inference a customer pays for, governed like cost of goods. Generate once, fail loudly, never lazy-generate.
